I’m reading the sequel to Eragon, which is called Eldest. Apparently it’s a trilogy, and the third one is called Brisingr. If you’re interested (I’m pretty sure I remember you liking Eragon) and can’t get it there, I could mail it to you if I ever finish.
yeah, I enjoyed Eragon in that trashy fiction, completely stolen from Star Wars sort of way. Didn’t the story basically end in the first one though?
Zarchibald, I just finished reading a book called Born To Run and would highly recommend it! I don’t run/was pretty sure I am physically incapable, but this story of the human relationship to running and the insight into the Tarahumara culture of Mexico’s Copper Canyons is just soooo sooo good. It’s written by a sports journalist, fyi.
I’m still reading “Guests of the Sheik,” an anthropological study of an Iraqi village recommended by Bryan. it’s taking me forever, but I’m enjoying her writing so I keep trudging along. Problem is reading right before bed!
besides my linguistics reader… kite runner (pretty amazing, you’d probably like it if you haven’t read it yet) and jazz (toni morrison – definitely a different style…haven’t read too much but so far it’s gooood) ohhh and cien anos de soledad. actually pretty awesome as well, considering it’s course reading. i think id recommend it in english tho… >.<
